Contacting SilverGuard
If you need to change an order that has not been shipped, please call or email us as soon as possible.
As our sewn products are not mass-produced, and USA-based SilverGuard hand-makes to order our Standard Flatware Drawer Inserts as well as all of those SEWN products, orders containing Standard Flatware Drawer Inserts, Flatware Rolls, Zippered Storage Bags, Jewelry Travel Bags, or Flapped Pouches (whether standard sizes from website options or custom sizes) are not inventoried/ready to ship. We are currently experiencing a backlog going all the way back to COVID due to access to materials and an increase in orders as many folks were home during the COVID pandemic and had the time to inventory, measure and place orders. We have continued to experience more and larger orders ever since, and since SilverGuard has been making these products for 37 years and we seem to be the only company doing so, we naturally stay very busy year-round. Unfortunately, it is difficult to provide shipping expectations as we have to cut the fabric like a puzzle and pull from the oldest orders to use it efficiently time-wise and waste-wise. Once an order is fully cut it gets sewn and shipped.
When possible we will try to accommodate special circumstance requests (e.g. upcoming wedding gift, moving, visiting from another country). But keep in mind, every customer and their subsequent order that we have is because they have silver they too are wanting to protect. Pacific Silvercloth has beern made in the USA for over 120 years so it has a long-standing reputation with silver owners.
If you are unable to wait for a sewn product, you may want to consider ordering Pacific Silvercloth By-the-Yard to make your own storage containers or have a seamstress in your family or community make them for you. Yardage ships in a day or two. I will add, however, we regularly hear from customers that our products are worth the wait and Pacific Silvercloth is a true tarnish preventative fabric that lasts forever and will continue to protect your silver as it passes through subsequent generations.
If you are willing to wait for our sewn products, wait until you get them to polish your silver. If you've already polished your silver cover them with a cotton bath towel and place them in an area, e.g., a closet shelf, where there is minimal air-flow. You can also cover the bath towel with plastic, but do not place plastic directly over the silver.
